Teldat 3Ge presents a decision to implement a backup connection to existing router. 3Ge device is an external network card (eg. external WIC1), which adds functionality to the existing corporate router 3G. This solution requires no additional interface card or a PCMCIA or USB interface on the router. The only interface that uses is an Ethernet connection.
Managing with these new 3G interface is integrated in the "router engine" so that the logic of routing traffic is realized at the router. Standardized Integration of 3Ge enables connection with a large number of existing corporate router.
Innovative technology used for implementation this solution provides a high payoff in facilitating 3G access to the corporate network. The main issues to be resolved by using 3Ge device is visible through the fact that the corporate routers are mainly located in the server or system rooms, where most rooms there isn't 3G coverage or wireless signal is so bad that it does not allow access to 3G. To counteract this challenge 3Ge can be placed outside the server or a computer room where the 3G signal is strongest, furthermore, access on broadband mobile network from the main router is available through the existing corporate LAN. This approach provides large savings through reduced need for expensive coaxial cable and repeaters that are normally used to increase the 3G signal indoor
Teldat 3Ge solution provides not only a data connection, but the VoIP functionality. This functionality enables companies not just savings through least-call routing calls, but with VoIP and disaster recovery model, in case of loss of landline connections. The corporate router that has a SIP proxy functionality directs calls to Teldat 3Ge that converts the VoIP call in the GSM audio call.
